- Any Supplier of taxable goods and services whose annual turnover exceeds the threshold limit of Rs 20 lakh or Rs 10 lakh in special category states
- Business entities registered under previous tax laws, such as VAT, Service Tax, or Excise Duty.
- Casual taxable persons making taxable supplies.
- Non-resident taxable persons making taxable supplies.
- Businesses that are involved in the inter-state supply of goods.
- Agents of suppliers.
- Input Service Distributors.
- Taxpayers under the reverse charge mechanism.
- E-commerce operators or aggregators.
- Suppliers who sell through an e-commerce aggregator.
- Entities supplying online information and database access or retrieval services from outside India to individuals in India other than registered taxable persons.
Important: GST registration must be obtained within 30 days of becoming liable to register. Failure to comply will result in penalties.
